Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico to a family of musicians. Her childhood was spent listening to classic, old boleros and the traditional songs of romantics and ranchero. Ana is a lover of Tangos, opera, and every form of dramatic performances. When she was 16 years old, she began to sing and study music with her mother. Flavio, a Mexican famous tenor, started to give her more intense training in singing. In Guadalajara, she attended the School of Music of University of Guadalajara as well as in Toluca at the School of Sacred Music. She sang at Guadalajara, Mexico City and various cities while a musician and student. When she moved into America, United States, she performed as a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then in 2002 she relocated to southern California. She sings as a soloist Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. The passion and love she has for art, music, and performing has her involved with a variety of local initiatives as a performer and teacher. Ana was a former member of Community Chorus of Redlands (as being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana is privileged to be able to share with others her passion for traditional Latin American music. She hopes this can inspire younger generations to preserve the traditions.
