MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The singer has made significant inroads towards Latin pop. Una Lady Como Tu (his popular hit song from 2016) was awarded a Colombian Kids Choice Award, the 2017 most popular Song. The singer released his first long-player ADN to the local Sony distributor in Medellin La Industria Inc. It peaked at number eight on the Top Latin Albums chart. In the following year, he joined forces with Ozuna for the creation of Vaina Loca which climbed to the top of five on the chart of Top Latin Albums. He dropped Dopamina the chart-topping sophomore album in the year following. Later, in 2021, he sang a duet in 2021 with TINI in her smash hit Maldita Foto. 2023 was the year 2000 when the hit song La Bachata was released. Turizo was raised within a musical family, because both his mother and his older brother are musicians. In interviews, Turizo has declared that music is an essential part of his life. When he was young, he taught how to play the piano, guitar as well as the ukulele. Though his original career plan was to be veterinarian, his brother Julian advised him to begin learning to sing with a Cuban. This transformed his life forever.
